Hi :) i am new here
I am new here and this site has peaked my interest for maybe finding people like with there stories and information.
I want to find out if i can repair my nerve damage and what would be good supplements to use. Right now i am using Metformin along with insulin. with other drugs that are not for the diabetes them self. |

Some common ones are lyrica, gabapentin, opiates, tricyclic antidepressants as well as ssri's like cymbalta. Supplements used are vitamin b12, lipoic acid, carnitine, magnesium, and personally I find vitamin D important. I see your in Canada so I hope you take it too! I live in Ottawa. Many ppl here like Epson salts or lotions especially for burning feet. It also depends on where your pain is and what the cause is. Let us know if you have more info. Finding any triggers like toxins or foods such as gluten can help people immensely. Its also important to keep stress low. There are some pros on here that have a lot of knowledge and are always around. Best of luck-i hope you find what you're looking for :-) |
i have the worst time trying to explain symptoms, sucks when i go to the doctor.
My foot gets red well half of it does. and feels irritated and a burn from time to time. when i lay down it feels like it gets inflamed and red and a burning feeling. what i have been doing to get relief is to run it under the tap in the tub with cool to cold water and it does help make it feel and look better, but it is not a long term. i went for testing a year ago and found out i had Neuropathy and that my reflexes and circulation were fine, and that is was because of the coating around my nerves was gone or going away. he was not too good with his information. i do remember that he said it was not the bad one because of the reflexes and circulation. But i am no doctor and have no idea. to help right now i am taken jamieson b12 and diabextix, i was on gabapentin and cymbalta but lost my coverage. |
Burning like you describe can respond to Biofreeze gel. You rub it on gently and it will cool off the area for several hours.
Biofreeze is on Amazon and iherb.com . I don't know if you can find it where you live locally. Quote:
