Spinal Cord Herniation T 6-7 diagnosis 11/14/13

I am looking to get feedback from members with personal experience with spinal cord herniation diagnosis, treatment and recovery.

After receiving MRI results two days ago, I was referred to local neurosurgeon who has a history of four spinal cord herniation repairs under his belt. I see him next week.

Can someone provide details of their surgical experience, hospital stay, rehab and post-recovery?

Is anyone aware of non-surgical options?

Not sure if it is Okay to name specific MDs on this site, but if so… Who is the best doc in the USA with to cover this problem?

HELP??!!

Just checking back in.....

I would love to talk to someone that has this diagnosis.

My surgery is scheduled for 12/3/13.

Anyone?

:)

Dr. Smith,

This is not a disc herniation.

The diagnosis is a spinal cord herniation prolapse through the anterior dura. T6-7...as clearly stated.

My apologies—I clearly misread it.

Best wishes,

Doc
