Wouldn't it be great if it helped! Looking forward to hearing from people. Is it the same as biofeedback?

There are many different variations of neurotherapy based on EEG data.
This is a non-volitional system (the client is passive) that uses sound as the trigger. There are systems that use light, electromagnetic impulses, and other triggers that are usually not well explained. There has yet to be a double blind study that shows the efficacy. These systems get approved by making claims to government regulators that they have no risk of harm to the patient. Some have caused seizures and other unpleasant reactions. Volitional neurofeedback is widely used. It requires the client to make active conscious choices/changes to thinking patterns to cause EEG wave forms to improve. This system that uses sound as the trigger has been in use under various names for quite some time. |
