I made it through the storms...though they hit the SIA plant about a few miles away. I heard the winds blow by the house just before it hit the plant, I knew it was a tornado! We have no damage, which is good because I am home alone this week as the folks are in the Caribbean on a cruise.

Other than that.... my state of mind is iffy.... I really don't want to be here and am afraid I'm going to crack at any moment. My niece's headstone is supposed to finally be placed in two days and that may be a tipping point for me... I still miss her so much!!!!! It's been a little over a year and a half...my parents finally went and purchased a headstone because no one else was going to.

I'm holding on as best I can but due to school I can't get in to see my tdoc until December 16th--after finals. I can't take the time away from studying...they take my every waking minute and I don't know if I am going to pass them at this moment. I'm beginning to think going back to school at my age was a mistake....this is HARD work and online is REALLY hard and takes a LOT of dedication to get up everyday, grab a book and go at it....many days, I DON'T WANT TO, but I DO!!!! In fact, I should be working on writing a computer program right now but decided to take a break.

Well, I better get going....tears are a flowing...

Came back to add.... please say some prayers for my cousin Melinda and Brent...they live near Peoria, Illinois. Their neighborhood was hit HARD by a tornado. Their house was damaged, though I'm not sure to what extent...nobody is saying. All I was told that they and their daughter are okay but not to tell their parents as they are on the cruise with my parents.

So glad to hear from you Abbie, that weather was horrific! And your school work isn't exactly a piece of cake either but I think you are doing the right thing. It's always good to "stretch" our wings and challenge our minds...I admire the heck out of you and will now switch my prayers from your safety to your studies, and to your cousins. :hug:
