question about late continuing disablity review

Hi everyone, my name is Paul and I am new here....

I was awarded Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) on September 1, 2010
I was due for my 3 year review on September 1, 2013 (I have a three year review)

It is almost December and I still have not received at CDR.

Just say that I receive a CDR on December 15, 2013, will social security review my records from ----
September 1, 2012 to September 1, 2013 OR
September 1, 2012 to December 15, 2013 OR
December 15, 2012 to December 15, 2013?

Just some other CDR questions

Is it true that CDR's are reviewed every 1,3,5 and 7 years?
Is it true that Social Security may or may not do a CDR? I was told by a rep that SSA has the right do perform a CDR but doesn't always
Is it true that when a CDR is performed that SSA reviews your record for the prior year?

Thank you !!

Depending on your area, CDRs are several months to several years behind. So don't hold your breath waiting or worrying about when it may be.

They usually request records for about a year prior to the date that they are doing the CDR. This can vary depending in the case.

The CDR review period depends on your condition and age.
6 months to 3 years - medical improvement expected
3 to 5 years - medical improvement possible
5 to 7 years - medical improvement not expected

Not everyone will have a CDR. Those in their mid 50's with a 7 year diary will unlikely ever be reviewed.

Here is an excellent link regarding CDR's: http://nymakesworkpay.org/docs/Guide_CDR.pdf

"I was due for my 3 year review on September 1, 2013 (I have a three year review"

Social Security will want the prior 12 months of your condition. So, if you were to receive the CDR Sep, 1st 2013, they would want information from Sep, 1 2012 to Sep, 1 2013. 12 full months to be exact.

"Just say that I receive a CDR on December 15, 2013, will social security review my records from ----"

Basically, Social Security can ask for medical information anytime they wish. They have sent me the OCR scan mailer every two year for 6 years now. I been receiving Disability benefits for 15 years now. They are getting tougher on people now.

Make sure you fill in the boxes correct or expect a full CDR (Full Medical Review).
