Question about child
Hello! I have a question. My husband's son, has been referred to do a connor's test at school. This boy is far from adhd! If anything he is under active! The ex wife is dying to get him a adhd diagnosis. What are children like with this?

The symptoms vary quite a bit. Not all children or adults with ADHD are actually "hyperactive" or "impulsive".
As I see it, if the child is experiencing some type of difficulties in the classroom setting or at home then getting to the bottom of the problem will only be in the best interest of the child in the longterm. I would guess that's why school is organizing the Connor's Test. There are also a number of other conditions which may cause children to have attention difficulties. http://psychcentral.com/lib/symptoms...adhd/0001200/2 Inattentive type ADHD from Symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) By John M. Some of those might help explain a little more for you as well. Useful Sites |
Thanks so much, I will look into this!

My ADHD back in the day was called ADD. But now it is called ADHD-PI. Primary Inattentive ADHD. I had problems paying attention in classrooms, and neglecting everything from homework to the chores to the unclean room. I would forget homework, forget books for class, and forgot important dates for a homework assignment, doctor appointment, etc. Getting it treated was good for me, but even better now that there is greater treatments out there such as Fish Oil and B Vitamins. Hope this helps!
