World-Class Neuro Center Opens

Patients who suffer from strokes, aneurysms, and other brain disorders have new hope. World-class neuro services have made their way to Central Georgia.

The Georgia Neuro Center is being called the most complete rehabilitation program in the area.

The brand new center is housed at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. It offers care in stroke treatment, Parkinson's Disease and inpatient rehab care.

The technology is called bi-plane, which is basically an imaging lab that also functions as an operating room.

"This technology will help stroke patients in ways that we have not been able to before, and in ideal cases, it will eliminate the disability that we offer and treatment at the rehab center."

The Medical Center says it's one of four centers worldwide that offers this type of care.
