5 year old grandson post concussion syndrome

Hello,
I am a very sad Grandmother. About 5 weeks ago my grandson hit his head on the cement at school. He had a concussion. Now, he goes into rages and has been suspended from school 4 times and put into a padded "safe" room 2 times. He hits, kicks, screams, runs out of building etc. Today, he came after me. This is not the boy I knew and all the Doctor said, was to give it time. "It could takes months to heal."

Please, anyone who understands this let me know what we should "really" be doing. It is very difficult because everyone has to work including his mom who is a single mom. The school doesn't have an aid for him.

He was home with me on Monday due to suspension and he was calm and peaceful all day. I really think the stress of school builds up and he then has an explosion. He had two explosions today at school. He hit the adults.

His cognition is good. He isn't complaining of headaches. He had some type of scan which found nothing.

I am praying for angels of healing and light to help us out. I stepped in so mom wouldn't loose her job but we don't have extra cash flow to not work.

I am truly thankful for all of your loving advice. My grandson needs your help!

Thank you!

Hi there. Welcome.

He has had an injury. Something is going on in your grandson's brain that is causing all these rages. That much is obvious. He's young. He has time to heal. You are at your wit's end wondering if everything is going to be alright.

I really do feel for you. Only time and healing will tell.

Just know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Melody
