My Third TOS surgery

Hello All!!!

I thought I would update u all on my situation. I just had my third and hopefully last surgery for TOS. They remove my scalene and first rib on my left side. If u all recall, previous two surgeries on right. This third surgery was painful, nauseating, and long. Surgery was this past Monday. Can't type long, so will make this quick.

I'm home now, and this recover is not easy. Can't sleep, painful, and pain medicine has made me sick. As some of u know, I've been dealing with TOS for 20yrs, and let me say all three surgeries have not been easy. I'm feeling better, but I take this with a grain of salt. Felt better after the previous two, but it didn't help. But my faith hasn't wavered, and Zi still believe with his stripes I am healed.

I will keep u all posted in the coming weeks. Keep fighting, praying, and enjoy each day, because it could be worse.

May GOD bless and heal each of u.

Alexis, thanks for the encouraging words. Well he stated if everything goes as planned with my left arm, I should regain everything with my right. I still do not have strength in my arms or hands. Both sides. He informed me not to be concern with my strength right now, they will work on that in about 3 months. If the right Side doesn't improve with this surgery on my left, he informed me they will need to do another surgery on my right side. But I'm not going through anymore surgeries. They are too painful, with all kinds of other issues. I will keep u all updated.

Good Morning!!! Thanks for asking about my recovery. Well, I had my post op visit with my doctor on yesterday. He seems pleased with some of my results. It's only been two weeks, so I'm taking it one day at a time. It's been hard to sleep, but it is getting better. He did some arm maneuvers, and the pain wasn't add bad, nor did it increase. I have some off and on numbness, and he stated that will go away as I continue to heal. I am feeling better, but I felt like this after my first two surgeries, so as I stated above, one day at a time. Still have weakness, but he's sending me to have a massage in 3months, and then to PT three months later. He stated we are not going to rush it, so it's going to be a year and a half process. After 20yrs of this, I'm not rushing it. :0) I'm just thankful and blessed to see a little progress. By the way, I'm moving my arms back and forth as exercise to strengthen both areas, can't do any more exercises, per doc.

He informed me I was a rare case, so they had to remove more than they thought. Discuss at a later date. :0) Also how long I had been dealing with this.

Thanks again for asking, and u have a Merry Christmas!!!!
