Who is that Dr James Stoxen DC and review???

I got an email back from Dr James Stoxen but i am not able to find any review or any comments about him anywhere. Dr Stoxen been asked to work for over 130 of the tours of today’s top top celebrity entertainers. The problem is i am not able to find any review from other than celebrity. Even then there is not much review. If you take a look on his web site he is the man. The email i got make lots of sense and looks like he really know what he is talking about but he sounds a bit too much like the miracle Dr but ... He is selling a strong vibrational massage unit I really dont like when he is saying that you can buy this same incredibly strong vibrational massage unit from me and do the treatment yourself`` Sounds like a real use car seller but hopefully i am wrong. If anyone has any info about him please post it here. Here is the email i got from him.Thank you!!

There are some older posts mentioning Stoxen, you can use the search link in my siggy line to find posts.

On the massage thing- massage assist that is on his website.. most of the places those w/TOS need massaged is our upper backs and other hard to reach areas..plus the holding and reaching needed to use the massager could send us into spasms..

I doubt a single "tool" like that can "fix" TOS all by itself.
Often we do need an expert of some sort to do the hands on therapy..at least at first.

You should be able to find an expert & knowledgeable chiropractor, bodyworker or physical therapist in your area or a nearby large city.
It may take many phone calls, and web searches and asking questions , but they are out there.

I've heard of him but I don't recall reading any posts from anyone who's actually seen him in person.

I think a few other people were kind of skeptical about some of the things he says as well.

I just took a look on the National Fitness Hall of Fame web site and in 2008 and he was inducted into the Personal Trainers Hall of Fame so technically if you are at this level is because you have a great reputation. What i don't understand is why i am not able to find one single review about him? If he is the top celebrity entertainers DC i believe i am suppose to find some review somewhere....

Why not look in your own area to find someone that can be just as helpful and close to you?
They can be found if you look for them...

You can't believe everything on those websites, after all they are trying to drum up business. = $$$

I would love to but it's really hard to find what ever where you are. Too much people think they know about TOS and they just make my condition worse and taking my money. Fortunately i have a great surgeon but he is in Calgary,Alberta, probably the best in Canada for that kind of surgery. Still, it's 1800 miles from my place. Chicago is 600 miles so... I had a rib resection but din't make any difference. I spend so much money on the last few years for P.T,Acupuncture,Chiropractor, traveling and more so if i can find someone to help me i'm up to go anywhere. I want to get a few review about him but there is not anywhere. I can skype whit him anytime but still, who knows... I don't care about money at this point, i just want to find a solution and have a normal life and go back to work. If he is the man like he say i will go for a treatment.

Hi Alexis,

I hear you about all the therapists out there claiming to know about TOS but making things worse. The number of chiros, PTs, medical massage therapists etc. I've seen over the years who, however well-intentioned, didn't know the fundamentals about TOS, made symptoms way worse, and all the wasted time and money - very frustrating.

If it's of any help, I spoke with Dr. S. at length a while back. He definitely seems to understand the mechanisms of TOS which was refreshing. But he was extremely aggressive about the necessity of my going to him, and him only for his intense power sessions where he would cure me in a short period of time. I too researched him and couldn't find any reviews of him having helped others. I'm no therapy expert, but I know my body better than anyone else, and I can tell you that intense sessions with anyone, however knowledgeable about the mechanics of TOS, isn't going to help me. It's going to take a long time, with gentle work, to peel back this onion, in my case. I've been offered surgery by Dr. Donahue at MGH, but still on the fence about it. For now, I'm going it alone, with a few self-help methods that I find effective.
