Seroquel and other antipsychotics are causers of diabetes in some people. So you have to watch your blood sugar readings, and A1C's carefully to see if you are affected.

Also this heart warning has to be monitored:

Using Seroquel for "sleep" was a sales pitch started when the warnings for other indications came out. Really there are safer ways to get sleep support.

There are also warnings for the elderly... so depending on your age, you can look into that on Google.

I think it is reprehensible that Seroquel was promoted to doctors for improved sleeping.

You can read more about it here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quetiapine

Do not discontinue Seroquel suddenly...it must be tapered, with physician support and supervision.

Wellbutrin is not listed on PN drug warning lists. However, some people become nervous on the higher doses, and it can affect the heart in higher doses in some people. Some people do find it works however for PN pain relief. Some of our members have used it.

I agree with Mrs. D.. Seroquel is a strong medication for sleep. There are many other meds that can be used (with less side effects) then Seroquel for sleep.

Unless your doctor is using it in conjunction with the wellbutrin to help your depression.

Since you are asking if it causes neuropathy my guess is you have been on these meds for a while.

Talk to your doctor about the side effect of diabetic neuropathy from the Seroquel. I know my doctor has ordered medication for me that is not suppose to be used for patients with neuropathy. Sometimes they just don't know all the side effects. There are so many meds.
