Five Month Update

The difference between four months and five months' symptoms is minimal for me. Some symptoms like anxiety, tics, and nerves have subsided. Some symptoms like headaches and depression, which is new, come and go. I have started to do more activities such as yard work and shopping which have helped my confidence but these activities usually bring about headaches that are helped by lying down.

I will continue to rest for another month and see what progress I make. The depression has a life of its own, coming on when I least expect it. My neurologist has suggested Cymbalta, believing that my lack of engagement in life and focus on PCS is bringing it on. My upper cervical chiropractor thinks I should not take it, suggesting I am going through a high ups and high downs period which will balance out eventually. I am going to wait until after the holidays to make a decision.

I am curious about my depression, whether it is related to PCS or if it is related to my life changing so much and me doing minimal activities and my sense of lack of purpose in life. I have had depression in the past. It is hard to get off the couch and I feel like I could burst into tears on the days I have depression. Other days I am pretty good.

Thanks all for continuing to be here. Thinking of everyone.
