No pain, no gain or just a bad flare up

Last night I tried some trigger point massage with a spiky ball after reading a book about it. I worked on my back and my forearm muscles.

Within a few hours I was screaming, had to take Vicodin to fall asleep and today I feel like a train hit me.

Is this normal or did I do something wrong? I thought I'd try something on my own as waiting for the drs to make up their minds is driving me nuts.

It sounds like you did too much. I've done that many times myself. When trying something new it's best to do just do a little bit. Many times the pain and inflammation doesn't show up until later in the day.

You also need to make sure that you drink lots of water to help remove the toxins from the trigger points that you have worked on.

I thought I had but I guess it's never enough water, lol.
