end of my rope!!!!
Hi, Maybe there is someone out there who can help me. I suffer from chronic back pain. I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease about 2 yrs ago, any way I filed for disability was denied, appealed denied again, got a lawyer and denied at hearing, now I am in the process of waiting for my remanded hearing. My pain is unbearable but I have to work part time as a sales agent or I will be homeless, My employers have given my lawyer a statement detailing how my condition has affected my work and explained about the several abscenses. Now I am seeing a psychiatrist because this pain is too much!!!! Is there any advice that ANYONE can give me???

Are you in pain management, or under a drs care for the pain?
We also have a Spinal forum, Medications forum & Disability forum (SSDI & SSI) as well as others that might be helpful for you.. Main page of all forums here - http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/index.php There is also a sub forum in medications for SCS & pain pumps. |
Hi Evelyna
Welcome to NT!
My heart goes out to you in a big way. I'm sorry you've repeatedly been denied benefits. The fact that you've been seeing a psychiatrist can be very beneficial to you so make sure that your attorney gets the records for your appeal. We have a 'Disability' forum here at NT. Here's the shortcut link to get you there: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/fo...aysprune=&f=28 You'll get good feedback there. At the top of the forum in the 'stickie' section, you'll be able to get a lot of information and tips regarding the disability process. I wish you the best as you wait for your appeal Caring, Rae |
