Eye fatigue - does anyone get this?

My eyes get fatigued and it feels like when (before the accident) I'd be in a dark restaurant or room staring at one person for a long time and colors begin to darken, my vision would feel grainy, and I'd have to adjust or get to a brighter room to give my eyes a break. It also used to happen when a person was on stage giving a talk and the audience is in the dark.

Now, this type of thing happens to my eyes when I'm fatigued/overstimulated/having a bad day and its constant, no shaking off. I need to be in bright places for it to subside. It's an annoying symptom, but a reliable sign that I've overdone it somehow.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I have issues with my eyes as well. One of the things I get is what you described, when staring at someone in a semi-dark environment, I often have to look away for it to stop.
Other things are eye pain after staring at a computer screen for a while and headaches caused by eye strain.
