One way to rule put other causes of ear pain is to see your regular doctor and have it checked out.
Headaches - can be related to TOS and /or trigger points - http://www.pressurepointer.com/Poste...ger_points.htm Ear pain can be from trigger points too - http://www.pressurepointer.com/trape...ger_points.htm I think many doctors don't study much about trigger points at all, so sometimes you have to figure it out with the help of a friend, or with the help of a good PT person.. TrPs info- http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread125577.html http://www.pressurepointer.com/SCM_trigger_points.htm there is also a pdf you can download with trigger point info - http://www.pressurepointer.com/Press...nterManual.pdf Unfortunately the other side tends to get involved, after surgery often due to less use of the surgery side and more use of the "good" side.. or you tend to notice issues on that side , since the surgery side is probably feeling better.. Seek out some very good PT and/or get second opinions.. |

thank u jomar...but the dr gave me a medicine in the name of tegetrol....its not helping me... |
Did you or a friend try to feel around for any of those trigger point spots shown on these links?
you just press around in those areas where the little yellow dots are shown and if you find a really sore spot , that is the trigger point. Medications don't make trigger points go away it has to be a hands on therapy, or even dry needling or injections if severe. |

I have found help with other modalities such as trigger point therapy, slow deepbreathing, meditation, meditation, Stott Pilate's, proper diet increasing nutrient dense foods. A visit with your primary care doctor may get you going in the right direction. Sometimes we have a nutrient deficiency caused by a medication we are taking. A visit with a psychologist who deals with chronic pain may help you to get a plan of action to overcome this evil, unrelenting pain. Your doctor did NOT say that the pain is all in your head. He said his role in this puzzle has been played at this point. Please keep on posting here, because we all care about you. This is a despicable situation that you can find relief from. |

It important to visit your primary care doctor to evaluate the ear pain and hand swelling. Both of these physical, NOT IN YOUR (well technically, the ear is in your head) could have causes unrelated to TOS, and NOT be psychologicly induced. |

Did the TOS doctor examine your ear? Did he not find anything in your ear that is causing your pain? In regards to the hand swelling, how swollen is it? Is it only a little swollen, or is it swelling up like a balloon. If these symptoms are severe, you can go to the emergency room to make sure you don't have something that needs emergency treatment. The emergency room always rules out LIFE THREATENING Conditions first. Keep posting! |

Do this right now: 1. Through your nose, breathe in to a count of four (I count on my fingers for this) 2. HOLD this breath in for a count of 7 3. SLOWLY, through pursed lips, exhale to a count of 8 Do this for a few minutes, focusing only on your breathing When I get upset, my body goes into a physical "fight or flight" reaction. My breathingbecomes rapid and shallow, increasing tingling sensations, increasing pain, increasing muscle spasms....making me more upset.which makesme tense up even more. Slow focused breathing helps me. |
