hey today were feelin a little guilty today the other dogs were running an playing at the park but Tootsie didn't go an play she stayed with us are we ruining this dogs life for she never gets to do what the other dogs are doing she never gets to go an play or chew on bones shes always with us always helping but when dose she get to be a dog you now the kind that chew bones dig an play with other dogs. Shes always happy being with us but come on we wanna see her be a real dog the kind that gets dirty digs an run around wagging their tails we never seen her wag her tail never seen her run in circle with excitement shes not a dog is she? what happen why dose she not act like a dog? she acts more like a mother or a parent then a dog she reminds us to eat an drink when to get up when to go to bed when we have to go to work or to a store shes a major bossy butt but we love her an want her to help us an be a dog you know any suggestions on how to get our SD to be a dog even if its only one time? or is this how shes sposed to be always on constant alert an never to be a dog or a pet?

Did someone tell you she's not supposed to (be allowed to) be a "regular" dog? I know that in the case of some SDs, when they are wearing the harness, vest, or other gear, they are "working", but if not, they're "off-duty" and can goof off until they're needed to work again.

I dont know i mean i give her time to b a dog but she never acts like a real dog shes always with me ready to help when i need it she dosnt play with the other dogs even if we go to the dog park she wount go an play she sits bye me
