Paula and RSD?

Can anyone imagine receiving this treatment if they have RSD, because I can't. And if Paula Abdul in fact has RSD could this treatment result in her getting injured from this kind of treatment? She seems to have had issues with other beauty treatments. Maybe someone can tweet her and ask her whats up. See her new lawsuit.

I can't believe anyone would fall for such a "too good to be true" claim
RSD or not.

I'll watch it but she does have RSD. She was in a small plane where there was turbulance. She hit her head very hard on the ceiling. I would love to know her secret because she has the pain under control.

Through the years there has been plenty of posts on her about her RSD on this site. I suppose if she really has no pain from the RSD what is to lose taking this sort of treatment. My point is if she does in fact have RSD why would anyone in their right mind even attempt to place themselves in such danger as being microwaved to lose fat? My other point is I believe those with RSD are prone to acquire side effects that normally one wouldn't have to worry about in everyday life. Something just does not ring true.

[infrared heat that penetrates twice as deep as other heat sources]

I have an infrared heating pad, it doesn't need to get very hot to penetrate.

But if she has RSD it may have flared it up, or the equipment could be faulty, or she is claiming injury or exaggerating .
Hard to know what the truth might be..

I do think sometimes these things for celebrities are blown up just to get some spin going for publicity reasons.....

Jo mar - can you describe the infrared heating pad? I have not heard about that. Thanks!

Jomar 01-11-2014 01:10 AM

Sure.
oh, I forgot to add part of the name- mine is a far infrared heating pad.

Actually these links can explain it better than me typing it out..- it's where I got most of my info before purchasing.

I can say it did/does help with my muscular pain, I can't say if it will help for RSD or not..

I disagree that even if she has no pain now with the RSD I would never in a million years take a chance where the RSD could come back. I have always said that if my RSD got to a place where I had no pain I would live my life so cautiously. I mean no activities where I could get injured, no elective medical procedures so forth. It is not worth the risk

What I don't get is why she wants to lose more weight when she's already skinny. Personally if I ever get pain free I am going to do it all. I mean everything I can and enjoy my life because you never know when this monster will strike again. I will go mountain biking, horseback riding, boating hik, everything. I will live like I was dying. That way I get so much fun going for my boys they don't resent my disorder, and they have great memories of when mommy was healthy enough to have fun and do stuff.

RSD ME 01-12-2014 04:20 PM

I saw Paula on a tv show once (Dr. Oz) and she explained how she had rsd. I believed her until she made a comment that "ice was her friend." I was told that ice is bad for rsd, so I didn't understand why she would use ice if it was detrimental to people who have rsd. I just don't know if I believe her anymore.
