Acupuncture

I am new to this site and MG. Diagnosed Oct 2013. I am on prednisone 50mg and mestinon 90mg 3tmes and mestinon sr 180mg once at night.
I have had 10 acupuncture treatments and feel a lot stronger. My voice and swallowing have improved.
Has anyone had any success with acupuncture over the long term?

Interesting. I never heard of using acupuncture for MG. I would be interested to hear your updates. Let us know how it works out.

I am an acupuncture physician in Florida and have been having acupuncture treatment and using herbs to manage my MG. I was diagnosed in May 2013. I was on low dose prednisone for 6 months. I am now taking a low dose of cellcept and doing well. I take mestinon 60 mg 4 times a day. I really feel that I would be doing much worse if I was only doing a western medicine approach. I don't think acupuncture is a cure but I do think it improves quality of life. I think it can arrest the progression of the disease as well. Good luck and keep up your acupuncture treatment.

Thanks for the reply. My acupuncturist said he didn't think he could cure me but I would benefit by feeling stronger.
I will continue to see him on a regular basis and will keep you informed on this site
