My fiance has diabetes...
...and her neuropathy is either a 1...or a 17. Some days she can control it, but usually it catches us off guard and we spend all night trying to keep her comfortable and warm. Recently, we discovered topical pain gels (THANKS, A&R PHARMACY) and they have been helping phenomenally. I recommend looking into them if you haven't. It's a daily struggle, but it's nice to know there are things out there that actually help and our truly "cutting edge."

Hello
I'm Paul. I have neuropathy. I'm pretty sure I got it from the shingles shot I got last year. The drug store had a sign "Get You Shingle Shot". I thought that should be a pretty good idea, and 4-5 days later my feet got sore. I haven't been able to walk well since. Sometimes I can't walk at all. However, my problems are small compared to some of your readers.
I've tried all sorts of medicines e.g., Nerve Fix, Neuropathy Relief, Cerfolin, Gabpentin, etc. Most work for a while. This seems to be a pretty good forum. It has lots of information about lots of remedies. |
