its been a over a year since my last ivig

I haven't visited here in a while, I hope everyone is doing great.

I stopped Ivig November, 2012, and the neuro said lets see how you do.
I was on cellcept for over a year and a half and he felt it was time to see if the cellcept helped enough to get me off of ivig.

I was doing great, feeling good.

After the diagnonsis of diabetes, I began losing weight, which helped a lot, unfortunately, I put it all back and just recently began losing again.
I got back on track.
But I wasn't feeling all that great, and my eyes were doing poorly, I hardly ever drove in the late afternoons and gave up driving at night, my eyes were just too strained.
Overall, just a little fatigued, washed out in the evenings if I had a big day, but I never know if that's the mg or just my weight and age.

I spoke with my neuro in dec, and he said he feels I should try the ivig again, to see if it makes me feel better and Id know if I still need it.
Im thankful my insurance company still pays.
So I had my first treatment in over a year wed, thurs and Friday .
I noticed Friday afternoon near the end of my infusion(approx. 5.5 hours infusion daily), I was getting a leg twitches I guess its my hamstring or one of the muscles above knee in back of left leg.
Ive had muscle cramps before, so it felt as if the leg wanted to go into a full blown cramp.
Ive been riding a recumbent bicycle for a few weeks, gradually increasing my speed and time, not pushing too hard, my cardiologist recommended I do it while watching tv to work up to 45 minutes a night.

anyway, the leg twitching is worse today than it was Friday.

its not constant, but I feel it and its more uncomfortable than it is painful.

I never experienced this with Ivig, other than a mild headache and some nausea, I never had any problems with over 2 years worth of infusions.

does anyone think this is something I need to be real concerned about, I was going to call my doctor next week to see if it subsides a bit, I wasn't going to ride the bike, not knowing if I strained any muscles.
but the twitching didn't start till the end of the infusion.
strange.

hope everyone is feeling ok.

SO glad to hear you were doing so well, but i'm sorry that things started to decline a bit too! Yes, my muscles get a little funky the night of and next day or two after my infusions - more twitchy (i'm twitchy all the time and have been for many years).. but the first few days its worse and then it improves a lot around day 4 or so.. Hope your feeling stronger at least! (Oh, and I do get nausea, stomach upset, headache etc with ivig as well - though I drink a TON of water, and that seems to help, that and a slow rate of infusion)

Good luck!
