Had Enough :(

Hi been on here a few week, cant access the chat rooms just yet but need to write this down somewhere.

I have been in pain for about 18 months, I know that may not be long for some but it feel like an age to me. I was diagnosed with CRPS which is in my right shoulder, there was some spread over to my neck and arm but this has improved.
At it's worst it was 10 out of 10 all day and night for about 10 months, a combination of what I describe as Ice burns, boiling fat burns, electric shocks and spasms. there have been some improvements and I am more able but it has been really slow. With physio and drugs it is possibly now 4 and 6 but can still peak a lot more. The list of what is painful is massive but I could just say everything.

I am starting to think I have some depression about it, for the last six month I have been trying to pretend I am fine but I'm not :( I am still working and work were really supportive to start with but they have no understanding what this is like. They give the impression now that the long it goes the more I should be used to it and get over it but it's not like that.

I haven't been tortured before but I think it would be better than this. I am struggling with concentration and my work requires that a lot the only way I have found to keep myself going is to bite my fingers, bite through to many pen and pencils :(

Any help with coping would be great, Please

I am sorry about your pain :( my only suggestion would be acupuncture if you haven't used it before. Alternative therapies that are out there that you might want to ask your doctor about are anti-inflammatory diet, guided imagery, Trans-craniel direct stimulation (TCDS), Tumeric Supplements and mindful exercise. I don't have enough post to send you the link but those are a few that you can ask if they might benefit your chronic pain. I know everything but the TCDs has helped me -
