Bizi,

THanks for this.
I remember learning about Zinc. It is tricky because the body has to have the right ratio of Zinc to Copper.
We had a poster who used to post a lot about zinc but I have not found a study that would make sense to me.

Loss of zinc and B6 thru the urine is called Pyroluria.

It is sometimes linked with excessive self medication with alcohol.

There is a test for this... and numerous websites. It appears to be more accepted in Europe for some reason.

http://drkaslow.com/html/pyroluria.html

The urine test should be done by a reputable lab.
http://www.primalbody-primalmind.com...ave-pyroluria/

One of our long term members from BT and NT (jcc) had her daughter tested, which came out high, and the zinc/B6 treatment from a DAN doctor reversed her symptoms. Any self treatment is discouraged, and really should be supervised, as the zinc levels may become too high and copper too low and lead to neuropathies, and other toxicities.
The kryptopyyroles excreted in the urine, complex out B6 and zinc so these nutrients are unavailable to the body.

The Gluten File has some information on this too:

Thanks to all three of you.

I need some of these vitamins. And this is a good reminder why.

Thanks

For some reason my internist was interested in Magnesium.
She asked me what brand I was taking and included a test for Magnesium on the blood request for the lab.

I try to take 1000 mg vit C a day --- but I take 500 in the a.m. and 500 in the p.m. Some people can take more than that.

I take fish oil also.
I take a partial dose of my multi vitamin when I remember to take it.

Magnesium = Also is supposed to help with fibromyalgia type issues.
But I cant remember to take it.

I am supposed to take Calcuim, Mult. Vitamins and Vitamin d. But I can't
remember to take any of them. And of course iron.

I am working right now to remember the iron.

And am going to set up some type of system to try and remember the
rest.

Its not going to be easy. For one a couple of them are pills I can't
swallow.

Ugh, again. But for good health.

I also like to take ( ) I have forgotten its name. I will have to go research. I ran out and couldn't afford to get more. Now I can.

I put all of my supplements and vitamins in a pill container that I taek with me and take after lunch. It is in my front pocket of my scrub top. so I can feel it.It also contains my geodon which needs to be taken with food so I have to take it. I set it up every night and set it by my glasses and earrings that I put on every day so as long as I have filled the container than I take it with me.
It just takes getting into the habit.
