Diamox and Chiari symptoms
I was wondering if anyone has been put on Diamox for their Chiari symptoms? My ophthalmologist put me on Diamox for my glaucoma. The neurologist would not even consider Arnold Chiari malformation. I have almost all the symptoms including Nystagmus and? phenomenon where you get the electrical shock feeling when I cough or sneeze if my head is in the wrong (or right ) position.
A few days after taking the medication I noticed improvements in my symptoms. I can swim on my side and do the side stroke, the week before I could not move my legs when I was on my side. I could swim one length doing the breaststroke, the week before I could not move my legs when on my stomach. The headaches have eased, not gone but less, the tinnitus is quieter sometimes. It is easier to drag my feet. I can feel the temperature in the pool again. But oh I feel like I have the worst flu ever times I don't know what. Oh and the pressure in my one eye has gone from the high 40s to 27. If it were not for the improvements I would have stopped taking the medication, it has been 7 1/2 days since I started it. The horrible symptoms have eased a tiny tiny bit. Any suggestions or thoughts? Redcat |
I am too tired to figure out how to post a link to the Driscoll Theory which explains why Diamox worked on my symptoms. Dr. Dianna Driscoll is her name. It has to do with EDS and Arnold Chiari (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome ).
