I hate these:
5. “I’m stressed out too.” 6. “Have a drink -- it’ll take your mind off of it.” 7. “Did I do something wrong?” Haha... number 1 too... I have to admit the other ones work for me though.... :o :hug::hug::hug::hug: |

It is great to see you. My mom used to say stuff like 5. “I’m stressed out too.” ____ Actually, whatever you had, she said she had it too. It would be o.k. with me if "have a drink" worked. I could get behind that. But it doesn't work.:( M |
Some of those I do find irritating, others don't bother me.
The one that really gets my goat, every single time, is 2. “Calm down." ... and any variants thereof... eg, "Just relax", etc. |

That "Calm down" thing is insensitive on many levels . . . . . For one, it is giving the person a command. Hello! Maybe this is not a good time to tell me something to do. M |
I was being counseled by a couple one day,and at the end of the session, the man said,"RELAX !!!" in a loud sort of way. I didn't see them again.
How could I relax? They provoked me to anger while being counseled. I've been through many unpleasant things. We all have been through allot. BF:hug::hug::hug: |
