Are you aware that the UK Government are planning to sell your medical Records, you will have no say in who it goes to or what they do with it. Yes I do know. There's been so much outcry at the ability they would have to sell our info to insurance companies, med suppliers etc that it has now been shelved for 6 months. 38 degrees are doing a major campaign against it, you can lend your voice to them to help fight it, and also opt out via their site.

Hopefully the protection side of things will be tightened up before it comes anywhere near law...

This NHS project doesn't apply in the whole of the UK. It is not applicable anywhere other than in England.

Be aware that even if you do opt out, there are extensive lists of exceptions to the opt out where your data can still be shared and used. You may want to look at all of these just so that you are fully aware of the limits to your opt-out.

At least here we have the HIPA law which anyone wanting medical info must contact the person first for approval or not...
