Multivitamin?

Hello,

Can anyone suggest a multivitamin for me? I have not been taking any up till now. My symptoms have been really bad for the last few months. My primary care suggested Centrum silver. I just need something to get started ASAP. I can see by reading many posts on the subject, that there are many options from a multivitamin to individual vitamins that are useful specific to myasthenia. Once I can further educate myself I will customize my vitamin intake if necessary.

Thank you very much,

Michael

My neurologist suggested walmart prenatal about 2 years ago. I have been taking them for 2 years.

Prenatals have iron in them. Males should not have iron in their vitamins unless they test low and the doctor orders it.

Centrum Silver, does not have iron.

(This applies to post menopausal women as well).

Iron is also very constipating so keep that in mind. :winky:

I take adult gummy chew vitamins. The centrum silver are too hard to swallow. If I die, I sure don't want it to be from choking to death on a vitamin. Besides, the gummy vitamins taste good. I also take chewable vitamin C.

I take the Walmart generic of Centrum Silver - works for me!

Males who take iron, have a higher incidence of heart disease.

Males who have normal blood work test results should avoid
supplements with iron in them. If you notice the names of other multivitamins on the shelf at the store, there are specific ones,
that are made for men. Centrum Silver is for both men and postmenopausal women, and does not have iron in it.
