CRPS tradeoff...
Well! After trying different cocktails of meds it seem that I have to settle to be a little groggy all day to have releif. There's still pain but it's managable.
Do any of you have this dilema? I still get spikes when triggered by stress, wheather, physical exursion, yadda yadda yadda, same old culprites that we all deal with. This monster really sucks... |
I hear ya! I have to nap usually a couple times a day. When I'm awake I'm usually still groggy, but I take the trade off for some relief.
|
Hahaha, it's 9pm and I just awoke from a 4-5 hr nap! just in time to go to bed. Oh wait! I'm already there!

Hating life!!!
I hate the pain, the pills (feel like a lab rat), the tests, the surgeries, and the worrying of my future.
|
Well, it helps that I'm blonde (ha). It used to be a joke, but now
I feel as if I'm stuck in "dumb blonde" mode when I do need to take all the meds. I'm prescribed & don't get me started on the memory lapses + I get "Versed" with my nerve blocks. |

Hi Fighter, Try to remember this little saying: "Any day above ground is a good day "... |
With opiates you can take a much lower amount of time release than if you try to regulate your pain (more frequently) with immediate release. Finding the most ideal combo and when you take them is a matter of trial and error.
Also, don't ignore the role food (especially carbs) and exercise can make on your grogginess. Things you might have been able to get away with prior, you may no longer be able to. ;) Cue a line of dancing bananas! |
It could be worse, I have a neuro-receptor disorder which means I get instant immunity after one dose of any medication whether orally or injected so I have to fight on willpower alone
