New member: spinal cord injury caused by cervical epidural
 

Hello,
I would love insight from others or perhaps a good doctor recommendation that specializes in trauma to the spine caused by a cervical epidural. I had paralysis of my right arm which has resolved but now in extreme chronic pain to the point where it has affected my daily living. Just went to Cleveland Clinic and was majorly disappointed. I am also interested in knowing the best pain regimen. The docs in my city are extremely conservative and do not like to give narcotics.

Can't wait to hear from all of you! This has been going on with me for a year and a half and I am at my wits end.

I know someone who has severe chronic pain who has been able to cut her meds down by 1/3 because she is getting P-Stim therapy & has been pleased so far with the results. It is a treatment where device is attached behind one ear & 3 "electrode like needles" are attached on certain parts of the ear for certain amount of days. Sounds like a better alternative to at least try before getting into too many meds.

I don't want to assume, so can you tell us where the pain is, and describe it?

Has there been a dx as to cause/reason? (e.g., bruising of nerve, arachnoiditis, etc.)

Has there been any prognosis regarding whether this pain is expected to be temporary (even if protracted) or permanent?

Hi, how are you doing?

Had a cervical spine steroid injection and my left arm is very painful, it goes in between feeling numb, tingling and pain.

The Dr who did the injection said it's nothing to do with the injection???? my left ankle/knee is also numb and he said the same thing, had no problems before.
