Scared stupid
 

Hello,
Just finished my first 5 day Ivsm therapy. I have to say minus the metal taste in my mouth I feel great. My neuro is totally against taper dose. He said Ivsm works different than oral and for 5 days being young ( 34) male and having very good kidney function that it is totally not needed. I am hearing all of these horror stories about people who don't taper and go crazy, any hints for how to get through this because the 3 neuros in my town are all in aggreance and do not taper. I am out of sick time at work and have 2 small kids I have to help take care of. Any hints would be extremely helpful. I was told by the dr to just stay well hydrated

i can understand your anxiety.
i havn't been in that situation so can't say. but, i wan't to offer you some support.

monitor your condition closely and call your dr at the first sign of any problems. IF you're having trouble he may change his treatment plan.

keep us posted.

I don't know if it is just newer research at all or what but I remember my fist couple of rounds with IVSM. They were both finished up with the taper. I think the taper was just as bad as the IVSM. But the last two I have had there was no taper and I didn't have any bad effects. I slept a lot better also since that was one of my bad problems with the taper.
