Addy...

Congratulations on taking that leap...you deserve to be good to yourself.
I'm sure you did the right thing and at the right time.

I'm ok....I'm trying to just "float on my back" and let the water carry me.

Addy 05-23-2007 02:40 PM

Floating on your back is a wonderful feeling... I hope you are succeeding my friend

I think I've got to stop dog paddling and breast stroke outside into the sun... I need to walk, I need to think...

I think I'm trying to build up courage.
Or maybe I'm putting it off - I have the courage, but not the strength.

Well, there's my answer... I can't keep swimming without first building up my stamina...

goodness, I just realized that its ok to trend water.

lol

Hey Sis,
That's great news about your job that appeared to be pushing you down. Just get strong and get thinking. Exercize your body and your mind will sort out the rest.

Must be good weather there at the moment? Be kind to yourself. Take some time but don't take too long otherwise inertia can set in really fast.

((Addy))

If you get tired of kicking, lay back and float with Alffe and me. We can watch the cloud formations together. :) After the clouds pass, we can practice our synchronized swimming. :D

Sending you prayers of strength and guidance.

"We can practice our synchronized swimming"........LOLOL, not a pretty picture but I loved the floating part. We'll be like those little penguins KathyM., locking arms and holding on to each other so we don't float away. :D

Treading water is fine Addy...reminds me of marching in place. You remember, I used to play the clarinet in our H.S. band.

Doody 05-23-2007 05:13 PM

Yup, you did the right thing dearheart! Be good to yourself.

Addy 05-24-2007 02:53 PM

thank you all so much for your support...

Doody... I am going to respond to one of your wonders... I am 53. Thankfully, too, I have medical coverage - one of the great advantages of being Canadian (I am also still covered by my x husband of 22 yrs - ours wasn't a bitter/fighting type of separation - again, thankfully).

Money scares me so I tend not to look at it seriously... I know that this is a fault but it works for me... I always manage. I am selling on eBay which can be very lucrative but takes a great deal of work (which I'm willing to pursue) - so, for now, I have a small stream of income... again, thank God.

Lara, yes it is finally good weather here. We have had a lot of rain this year (which I WISH I could send to you in Aussieland!!! ). Our outdoor apartment pool is ready and the other day I saw 3 neighbours swimming. My friends and I are enjoying our 21st floor roof sungarden... we meet for evening sunsets many nights in the summer.

KathyM - I can't see any clouds today! YAY! Guess that means you, me and Alffe are sychro-swimming... LOL!

:grouphug: thanks for your words!
