IVIG last?
 

Hi,
First of all my last 5th IVIG was March 12th. Since then ive been doing much much better. Of coarse I still have had symptoms of MG such as double vision and such but tonight I felt that weakness in my arms I had before getting the IVIGs. Though the arms are not weak when I use them. They feel weak. Also had my classic stiff mouth return tonight and its hard to pressed my lips together. I can hear a slight change in my voice too. How long do the IVIGs typically last? Could it just be a flare? Something I ate? Perhaps ive over did my body. With all the spring cleaning...cooking...and shaving...lol, iknow but thats a lot of arm movement in shaving. I see my neuro on the 16th. Hoping to get an IVIG done monthly because it had been like night n day.

For me it varies... I get it every 3 weeks.. and there have been a handful of times that I haven't felt my symptoms return before that 3 week mark, however usually around day 16ish I start feeling weakness creep in.. I wonder why, and then I do the math and realize it's getting near time for another infusion... I have also had times that I sware it only lasted one week!
When I talk to others at the infusion center - they all say it varies each time with them as well.. I guess it depends who your donors for each batch are, what your current stressors are, any illnesses, the temperature, hormones etc etc etc!

When I first started IVIG, I got it every 2 weeks.. and I always felt my symptoms returning around day 10...
