chronic limp with no pain

I read a post from someone who seems to have a similar problem so I thought I would post my problem. I am 74 year old male in pretty good health> Had prostate surgery in 2006 had seeds implant and followed by radiation. did great with that and seemed fine. About 2 years later I started to limp...went to neurologist ..took tests everything normal. Limp getting worse so went to 2 more neurologists ....more tests...physical therapy...nothing helps. I have no pain at all but after I walk a short way, my foot starts to drag and I have a very hard time continuing. I have to take short shuffling steps. My equilibrium is not so good either. My dr. is now sending me for an MRI of my back to check for stenosis. I just don't know what is happening to me. I used to run 6 miles a day and ran in a half marathon years ago. If anyone can relate or shed some light please do. I just don't know what else to do.
