Glaucoma

What drops can they safely use to lower pressures. Xalatan is giving me severe joint pain (though my doctor insists the pain isn't from the drops). The other drops look like they're on the list of meds you aren't supposed to use.

Apparently I need something in order to keep my sight, but I can't keep taking the Xalatan. Has anyone had luck with any other drops? Thanks.

I take Azopt am and pm and Lumigan pm only without problem.
Sorry but those are product names in Europ.
Azopt is a brand from Alcon and Lumigan is from Allergan.
Maurice.

Thanks. I'll look into what those are here. I'm also going to see a different specialist. I'm not sure why this one is so adverse to trying something different, but her assistant called back today and said there's no possible way Xalatan can cause hip pain, so unless I have an asthma attack they wouldn't switch me.

When I asked why its listed on the insert if its not a possible side effect she told me to follow up with my primary and have them take x-rays. Then she said to go take a walk and enjoy the nice weather.

If I can't walk well enough to get to work, how am I supposed to enjoy the weather?

I switched eye doctors and she put me on timolol in the morning. She said joint pain in a very rare side effect of the Xalatan, but that it does exist. Unfortunately she doesn't know if the new drops will work better because I take metoprolol or if it'll just be a drop in the bucket and won't work at all.

I go back in a month, so hopefully I get good news.
