Homeopathy amd nerve pain

Hi Everyone, Just it confirmed today that my neuropathic pain in my jaw is due to a hypersensitive nerve arising from an impacted wisdom tooth I had extracted a long time ago. Has anyone had any success with Homeopathy.

Thanks

Nick

Not really. But little heating pads helped me a bit. i tied them to my face. crazy, huh? Also, capsaicin cream. But, I often burned myself. And these were only temporary fixes. Was also very nauseas much of the time.

I use a compounded cream dx'd by my neurologist prepared at a compounding pharmacy. It has three meds in it: capsaicin, lidocaine and Gabapentin. Mostly Gabapentin. I rub this on my face. It is not perfect. Triggers will send great pain. But, I am MUCH better and I hope that by using the cream, to a certain extent,I'm limiting the exposure of these drugs into my body.

Hi there,
It has been ages since I stopped in here. Just wanted to post that I did try the homeopathic TN kit, Freedom kit from Biogetica. It was not a quick thing and I do think it helped. I was pain free for about 18 wonderful months. It recently started to creep back in slowly but not as severe. I went back to their site and chatted with Dr. Kamat who suggested that I get another Freedom kit. I am currently trying it again but I do think it works. The whole concept is that the natural products will hopefully stop the nerves from firing. Hey, if I need to keep taking more to get my nerves to calm down, that works for me. Hope this helps someone. TN is horrific so if anything can help I'm all for it... {{{hugs}}}}

Nick,

Are you talking about the type of Homeopathic medicine where ever decreasing strengths of the infusion is supposed to give greater effect? Or Natural remedies?
As a severe TN sufferer who also has parasthesia caused by a knot of arteries around my trigeminal nerve and suffers from Neurological Hypersensitivity full body with Allodynia, I would be loathe to try ANYTHING not prescribed by my Neurologist or - especially - Pain Consultant who is a practising Anaesthetist.
Too much can go wrong with one of the most sensitive nerves in the body to risk staying in, or increasing, pain.
I feel for you having an hypersensitive nerve, and hope you find the treatment you need to make it bearable.

Dave.
