PLEASE HELP! Lower back pain CT results
If anyone could please explain the following a in plain English for me, that would be amazing! I was quite confused after seeing my doctor as to what the following meant...
I am 22 years old. My recent CT results showed the following - L1/2 & 2/3 - No focal disc protrusion, canal or foraminal stenosis. L3/4 - Mild broad based annular disc bulge indents the ventral thecal sac but is not causing significant canal stenosis. There is no foraminal nerve root impingement. L4/5 - Very mild broad based annular disc bulge slightly more marked to the right side. There is no focal disc protrusion. No significant canal or foraminal stenosis. L5/S1 - No focal disc protrusion, significant canal or forminal stenosis. Mild sclerosis at the facet joints is noted but there is no evidence of premature degenerative change. Mild crowding of the the right L5 foramen is due to the facet joint and ligamentum flavum and is likely to be causing mild impingement of the right L5 root. Conclusion - Milf right L5 foraminal root impingement which is due to early degenerative change at the facet joint and ligamentum flavum. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :) :p |

Do any family members have back pain or degenerative back issues? Or perhaps a previous accident where your back was possibly injured? Good phys therapy should be able to help with the bulges and perhaps help with tips and things for overall care of the back. |
