When to ask for LSB
 

Hi All!
So, It's my turn to get Stellate Ganglion block tomorrow. This
makes number 23 for me so I'm not really afraid of that.
My P.M. Dr. & I have talked about CRPS/RSD spreading to my
left foot. I know it's more common to spread to opposite limb
first, but not here.
Thankfully the spread is slow, I take mega amts. of Vit C, magnesium
etc. I can still walk but the pain is increasing.
Opinions?
At what point should I get LSB as well? Wait until it's more pronounced?
Nip it in the bud? Risks vs. benefits?
I know I was scared to death about the SGB risks in the beginning & now
it's pretty routine.

P.S. I should have husband take video of me after SGB, I get sedation.

Hey Di! If it were me and it was starting to spread, I would get the block right away...nip it!! The chances of the block working would be better now then waiting unitl it is more pronounced. Because it took forever to find a doctor to diagnose my spread correctly and actually agree with doing the blocks, they didn't help me :(

About the LSB,I had 7 in 2012,dr decided to do it right away after he noticed crps spreading from my foot to my whole leg,only problem was, he sent me to work next day,my job required bending,pulling,carried,reaching stuff and sudden turns,so they did not work for a longer period,I think if I knew that before I would ask days off after but that's in the past,if you get than,I keep telling you guys,REST!RELAX!AVOID to MOVE Too much until you are totally recover!!!!! Sorry to insist,happen to me I wish they work for you,and continue keeping the faith,you will be fine soon, :grouphug: blessing to you and you family from Jesika

Agreed. Do it sooner than later. I've had 4 LSB. Not bad especially if you get a little sedation. Good luck - Lottie
