could this be TN??
 

While I m new to this particular site, I'm not new to pain . I have posted to the rsd/crps and neuropathy sites. I will try to make my long story as brief as possible. For the last 6 years, I have been dealing with severe arm pain in one arm, then after undergoing a cervical fusion for neck problems 2 years ago, I woke from surgery with the identical arm pain in my other, previously good arm. At that point, lots of pain and little movement in arms, just learn to deal with it after multiple Dr couldn't really give a reason why this happened. Right after this last Christmas, I woke with jabbing, stabbing pains in many areas of my body, including my jaw area, and 3 days after that burning pain everywhere, including my face in the cheekbone, nostrils, lower eyelid, upper lip, and upper gums in the front teeth. Even my scalp. Finally got into neurologist last month, she says it sounds like neuropathy, but the face and scalp burning might be due to ms. She said rsd does not spread, so that was not it. I have pain now everywhere except my left leg, and burning everywhere.

I just received the results 4 days ago from the MRI and it was normal. But, the next day I woke with what I can only describe as a migraine but in the area between my jaw and ear. And then a handful of times throughout the day I get a very sharp nerve like pain that lasts for about 20 to 30 seconds. The migraibe type pain has been constant now for 4 days. My neuro is on maternity leave, and I don't see her until the middle of July. I guess my question would be should I call them anyway, or just wait and see what happens? I have been taking my normal meds that were prescribed a few years ago when both arms became unbearable. I have taken cymbalta, noratripilyne, lyrica, and am currently about a week into trying gabbapentin again. Like I said, these were prescribed for for something else, but maybe I should just see if it goes away on its own? Does this sound like trigeminal neuralgia? I don't see my pcp for about 3 weeks. I saw him the day before my face started with this pain.

I really feels like just when i decide, OK this is the way it will be, things could always be much worse, something else happens. I dont know what to do. Can anyone offer some insight to any of this? It is very appreciated
