I would like to ask anyone on SSDI based soley on headaches - If so how often do you see a neurologist and what meds are you on that medicare will cover but dont cost a fortune.

Depends on the state you live in. Each state has their own Medicare health insurance programs that works in conjunction with Medicare. You can pick & choose the companies - Medicare & You.
In my state, I pay $5 for a 3 month supply of rx.

My CURRENT migraine management program consists of:
Timolol Maleate
Imitrex Nasal Spray
Zomig Nasal Spray
Promethazine
Breyars Vanilla all natural Ice Cream :D

Hi,

I was dx with a variety of headache DX after a car accident - neurologist said i could now have onset migraine due to trauma - I had a relative who this happened to after an accident

I know of a person who is on SSDI due to migraines. Not good, the migraines, at all.

Chronic migraines are part of my claim, but not the main condition.

I'm still waiting on a decision.
