What Keeps Me Going

My very 1st ever garden that I planted and care for daily. If I didn't have just this tad bit of thing to take care of I'd be down in the dumps more often. It's not much cause I am unable to do much, but it's my baby.

Your garden is lovely.
They say that all colors exsist in nature...I believe this!

Hi, ((((((Barbara)))))) http://chocolate-moose.p5.org.uk/MINIS/hola-001.gif

I LOVE flowers but I can't seem to grow them outside for anything. I seem to always forget that they're out there :o Maybe I can blame it on fibro-fog, huh!!

My Mom used to have the most gorgeous gardens. They lived on a half acre in South Carolina. In The South, you have a real long growing season. She actually planted them so that when one was finished for the year, another would come up right near it ... so there was always something blooming.

Some plants that we had at my birth home in Massachusetts were lilacs, white roses, and peonies, she could not move because they were either too big or too sensitive.

I absolutely LOVE peonies. The last job that I had in Boston was in a huge office building. They had a specialty florist on the first floor. I picked up peonies every time that they had any and kept them on my desk during the week and then brought them home. For some reason, my kitties never ate them.

Every time peonies bloom in my town and I plan to scoot out to see them, we get horrendous, torrential rain for days and days until every single blossom has been knocked off. AARRGGHH!!

I was thinking of planting some here in the gardens but I remember one year my Mom put bushel baskets over them to prevent them from getting rained on -- don't you know the darn wind came first, blew the baskets off and then came the rains -- peonies were gone in just a few hours.

I used to have nice indoor plants when I owned my condo. Here, we have cement walls and cement ceilings, it's so hard to hang anything and kitty-babies will eat anything green so I just have my silk plants now

Thanks for sharing. BIG HUGS.

Barb

Wow

BF, I love how you fenced it in...That is a beautiful garden and soon they will spread and be a foot or more high!
I am glad that you will have enjoyment as spring has sprung, summer is along any day, and your flowers will bloom happily.

It is so precious...it is so special.
What is keeping me going is that I remind myself constantly that I love the great unknown and even when I don't feel it I remind myself that I do.
