My Glasses Hurt My Head and Face Now

I get intense headaches after wearing my glasses for more than a few hours at a time. The headaches seem to start behind my ears, near my earlobe. I also get pain, pressure, and tightness in my nose and cheeks.

I do not feel like my glasses are too small or overly tight.

The headaches are definitely coming from my new glasses, as I was not experiencing many headaches prior to this.

I also get headaches if I go too long without my glasses, so I'm not sure how to remedy this situation.

Have you had your eyes retested since your TBI?

No, the appointment keeps getting rescheduled. Grrrrr. I have new glasses but an old prescription (2 years old).

I am thinking about paying cash for an appointment this weekend (there's a place that accepts walk-ins near me) just so I don't have to keep paying the waiting game.

I'm just not sure if they are a good place or not (the place I'm thinking about going). It is called America's Best, I think.

It really could be just a temporary thing, how long ago was your injury?

If you need mainly reading glasses just get a pair off the shelf at a store.
Have you had any PT or massage therapy if the neck/head/shoulders are tight?
You could have trigger points or spasms that could be affecting vision..

Are your glasses bi focals or progressives?

With my RSI/TOS injury my vision was affected (muscle spasms in the neck) and progressives did not work at all for me at all. I felt more dizziness and unstable when I tried to wear them..200.00 down the drain..:( but I can wear them now if I want to, but still don't care for them much..
