Implant Pain & Face Swelling

Hi, I have suffered with gastric reflux and hiatus hernia for 5 years which caused a lot of damage to my teeth. I recently made the jump (a very nervous dental patient I'm afraid) to have a tooth removed which had previously been root canal work done and another tooth removed top right due to a bad crack. I also had a gap on the top left which was in the smile line.

I decided to proceed with implants for the 2 top gaps as I was self conscious about seeing them. I had the extractions and bone grafts done 5 days ago and the pain has been horrendous. The day after surgery my stitches came undone and they were re stitched. I have followed the medication ritual to the letter, antibiotic dose pre op, followed by 7 day course post op, ibrufen for swelling and corsodyl for rinsing. I am have taken co-condo mol and ibrufen non stop since the op and the moment it wears off the pain is unbearable. I have facial swelling on my cheek on the right side going up towards my eye which feels slightly numb to the outside but throbs.

Tonight I have noticed a white slimey substance on the teeth surrounding the grafts and I am getting worried that everything I went through has failed.

Without anyone trying to sound as though it's easy to have this work done, is it normal to have such constant pain from bone grafts?
