r/ankle

Hello all,on 5/8/14 mri r/ ankle findings;Thickening of achilles tendon with T2 hyperintensity increased fluid in retrocalcaneal bursa.Prominent venous tributaries are seen in the tarsal tunnel. This injury was caused by over use of r/ leg post back fusion 2010,for the past year and half a PM,DR has been treating this with no relief. So finally 3 days ago i get to see an orthopedic surgeon,{ boy was i in for a surprise) 6min examination told me he was sorry he could do nothing for me,reason he stated my ankle problem was due to my FBS 2010.And that he will refer me to a PM,DR.I AM STILL VERY CONFUSED HE IS THE ANKLE SPECIALIST WHY REFER ME TO A NON-SPECIALIST.The dr that gave me the mri script is not a workers comp dr,he is a medcaid podiatrist i saw for some fungal issue when he saw my swolling r/ ankle he asked if he could exam it,he did and gave me the mri script. After my lousy visit with the ortho surgeon,i decided to go for the mri.Wich anyone who has been through the Workers comp nitemare know your not suppose to see any dr's that are not authorized by Workers comp,or like in my case i will probably have to PAY medicaid for the mri, when case settles i really don't mind it's my ankle and none of the Workers comp dr's has helped at all!what would you do?
