fast heart rate

I know this has been discussed before and I read the posts but no one says what their heart rate actually is when it races. Mine is 110 resting and up to 144 when standing. It is especially bad in the mornings. I had been trying to decrease medications and not sure if that is connected to the increased heart rate over the past few days.

About 3 weeks ago I lowered my gabapentin from 1200 mg to 900 mg. Then, just a week ago, I tried lowering my Nortriptyline from 30 mg to 20 mg. On the third day after doing that my headache got much worse and I went back to 30 mg. Then 3 days after doing that, I got this fast heart rate.

I am not sure how anxiety may play into it.

The problem with increased heart rate is that it causes worse headaches. So I am back to strictly limiting activity again to keep my heart rate and thus my headaches under control.

I don't have knowledge about the meds. Talk to your doctor about all this when you go in.

I do know about anxiety...my heart rate does increase when anxiety kicks in.

Good luck to you,

Jace
