FINALLY, vitamins my family takes everyday!

Found these at Costco. All adult Gummies. I have tried pills but they wouldn't take them regularly. Now they take these everyday.

Not surprising given the amount of sugar they contain.

Looking over the rest of the ingredients they're not all that great either, especially considering the price.

Something my mom used to do (back when moms actually cooked/prepared meals) was give us any vitamins/other pills at mealtime—before we could eat anything else. By then the kitchen/house smelled so good from whatever she was making that we were already starving and salivating, and would swallow anything just to get to the food! :Starvin:

I have learned to pick my battles.

There is no pop/cola in our house. Hubby went from coke to diet coke, down to sweet tea and is currently at 1/2 sweet half unsweet tea or water. We don't eat chips or candy. We don't keep snacky foods besides fruit, almonds and peanut butter pretzels. I've never had sugar in my house except once a year on cookie day.

I've learned that even the best product isn't the best unless it's used. So I've spent lots of money the last 12 years on unused vitamins. This is worth the sugar and cost since they take them daily.

Hmmm...I don't know if that trick would work on my family but my husband did agree its a lot of sugar.

We are careful about processed foods to avoid sugars and sodium.

I think I will still be on the hunt to find the right ones.

I think gradual change for the better is good.
I recall a relative use to put a lot of sugar in her morning coffee. One day, she decided to put only one teaspoon. She did that for awhile...then very gradually, lowered it. I think first 3/4, then 1/2, then 1/4, then nothing! It took about 10 months, I estimate. A big treat was occasionally adding 1/4 tspn of sugar to her coffee.
I was only a little girl...but I recall it to this day. A great lesson.

It might be a good idea for a co. To try reduced sugar (no fake sugar though) chewable vitamins for adults.

I eat fairly healthy, but sugar really is very hard for me and my husband to give up. We've greatly reduced it though. Just so tempting, etc. And, I suspect, so bad for us. Like I said....gradual change for the better is good!!!! (As well as choosing our battles!)

Update: my family still takes their vitamins. Sugar or no sugar they will do no good if not taken.

So my review is I'm sold. What they don't receive From diet they are covered with these. It's a small battle that is worth the sugar.

I see swansons sells this brand of vits. Looked at ingredients. I know my daughter has gone thru the gummy world of vits with her children. I know she now uses mega food vitamins which are food based. Her children are teens so don't know what they use but know they all take grape seed extract. We do what we can to make things work.

The main thing I think of with gummies , is the sticky chewiness...same as all gooey sticky candies..
I'd suggest rinsing or brushing after eating them, to get the residue off teeth.
