Back to normal life after vacation...

We went to Eastern Oregon for a week on vacation, it was great. About a week before we left we got a new-to-us truck, the poor kids had their knees in our backs in the Tacoma.

While on vacation we got to visit family we don't see often and had a great time, except for the flat tire on the new truck. We ended up having to put four new tires on it because it only had four ply, nobody there sold those, and to have a vehicle that needs to be able to go on logging roads (like where we got the flat) for hunting we needed better tires.

Yesterday was our first full day home and my poor hubby got an awful headache and painful bloated tummy, still has it today but went to work. Tonight our seven year old boy started complaining of a bad headache, then a tummy ache, but his temp was only 98.3. I gave him Tylenol and pepto but just as I was reading him a story to try and get him finally settled to sleep he vomited. Poor guy has vomited 3 times within 1 1\2 hours and is right back to sleep after. He's been asleep for over 45 minutes straight right now.

We already took him to the doctor yesterday because we discovered on vacation he gasps for air in his sleep. Looks like he'll be getting his tonsils out this summer.

The day we came home our neighbor's wife had a stroke. The day we got the truck my cousin's 10 year old boy had a seizure. My four month old nephew has to go for a sleep study because he stops breathing long enough in his sleep to set off the angel care monitor several times a night.

And, as though that's not enough, the day we came home my Dad went to the doctor and they found a small mass on his pancreas. He is on a liquid diet until they do a biopsy but the specialist told the clinic it can be up to a week for him to get a call. All his blood work came back normal though, even his white blood count.

Spoke too soon, my poor baby boy just puked again :( then my poor hubby joined the party.

My body is ready to crash, but it just has to wait.

No kidding Ann!

Well... We think we had food poisoning. Hubby already sent a message to the health department where the three of us ate. There was only one place the three of us ate and our daughter didn't, she never got sick. My son is better, my hubby and I are almost all better. My body hurts from the way I held my son while he was vomiting.

But everybody is back to school and work today so I can rest a little. Except hubby wants to leave for our monthly grocery shopping trip at noon.

The kids have six days left of school before summer, well five and a half. My wonderfully amazing hubby gave them lunch money for each day so I don't have to make lunches this week! :D I love him so much!

Yikes! What a vacation! Saying prayers for all the little ones who are having issues/testing, your neighbor's wife, and your dad!

I'm glad you will be able to rest up today!

Sorry your trip had so many issues . . . Eastern Oregon is amazing! Where did you go?

I hope everyone recovers from their GI issues. I have Crohn's and dining out is sometimes a scary prospect for me, especially away from home.

We went to Sumpter. My hubby has a family cabin there. It was a great trip other than the flat. Just all this other stuff that surrounded it.

Just got back a couple hours ago from the ER with my parents. My Dad started vomiting this morning after he tried to eat watermelon, not on a liquid diet! They are getting him in for the biopsy in the next couple days instead of two weeks.
