Does Myasthenia Gravis get worse with age?

If I understand it correctly it does get worse in SOME patients. Other patients don't get worse at all and some go into long term remission. I'm 63 so I'm hoping mine doesn't get any worse! :)

It's really difficult to say. How you do as you grow old also depends upon any other conditions you might have, how your nutritional profile is doing (deficiencies, etc.), and so many other factors.

Yeah, we do tend to lose receptors as we grow older, but not that many.

There's really not a simple answer to your question. Sorry. I hope you become better with age! Don't we all.

Annie
