Is PD an auto immune disease?

Is Parkinson's an auto immune disease? We tend to think not because aside from having something that deteriorates as in the myelin sheath of MS. We have cells that are dying off. What if that dying off process is the body attacking those cells in the SN? There could be some sort of trigger or various triggers for that matter albeit environmental or otherwise that add up to "pull" that trigger then the dominoes start to fall. Oh well just thinking. HHHHMMMMMMM.
Then maybe some of the treatments for an autoimmune disease may work. No?

Autoimmune disease..

I'll throw some more wood on the fire. In an auto immune disease the body has a reaction or inflammation to the given area that is being attacked. What if the the response causes protein accumulations, hence lewy bodies?

HA!! Now I've got ya thinkin".

Hemp Oil is supposed to be good for auto-immune disease. I have added some to my salad for 2 nights now and have had the greatest sleep in months. Helped with the constipation too.
