Withdrawal Lyrica . Query

Hi Having a rough time coming off Lyrica. It seems to target old injuries. I am currently experiencing spasm in neck shoulder and upper arm ( amongst other things )which I injured in 1992 in a road traffic accident . I got over it then but now I've dropped another 25 mg muscle spasm breaking out . Has anyone else had similar reactions? I know muscle spasm is a reaction with Lyrica .

Regards

Hi Jy I also just tapered off lyrica 1 1/2 weeks ago and went on 100mg 3x/day gabapentin immediately. Still had withdrawal from the lyrica though and yes pain and spasm from injuries from an MVA 14 years ago! Am now up to 200mg 3x/day gaba and some of the "old" pains have subsided but I'm now having some difficult SE from the gaba. What are you taking the lyrica for? Are you going on another med to replace it? If you check the posts there is a lot of info on lyrica WD. Hope all turns out well.

Thanks always hope . I am taking Lyrica for a hypersensitive nerve in my jaw caused after a wisdom tooth extraction many years ago and set off again by a partial denture made too high. I intend to try homeopathy afterwards as I am determined not to become hooked again.
