Weird Episode of Severe Shaking Tonight
This might not be related to PCS, but it scared the heck out of me:
My ex sent me a rude text that upset me a lot. I didn't respond. I sent the phone down and pulled the comforter around me (I was in bed). About a minute later, I began shaking very badly. I wasn't trembling or only shaking a little bit. My entire body was shaking very hard and fast. Also, my teeth began chattering rapidly. I wasn't cold, so this was very weird. My AC was on 76, and I had a thick comforter over me. I tried to text my sister but could barely type because I was shaking so badly. This went on for about 10 minutes. Has anybody else had this happen? It seems more like an anxiety issue than PCS, but I'm not really sure. My ex's text upset me, but I didn't feel like I was upset to the point where I would shake uncontrollably for 10 minutes. I'm just trying to figure out which doctor to call in the morning. My insurance doesn't cover my psychiatrist visits anymore, but I'm wondering if I need to get back on my anxiety meds. |
Sounds like an anxiety reaction to me. I've had them. I would not be worried. I wouldn't even call the doctor. You might consider having some anxiety meds in the cabinet in case you have another episode that does not subside in 10 minutes since meds take 30 minutes to 2 hours to take effect. I have some Klonopin for just such a situation.

I haven't had that type of shaking.
I've had a twitching problem in my arms since I fell. It's not all the time any more but whenever I hear a loud noise it starts. It's not comfortable and I feel like I have to try to hold my own arms down to try and stop the twitching. It can last an hour or several hours. The neuro told me that it's probably an over-sensitivity to noise and my brain just doesn't know how to cope with it. In the very beginning they had me on valium to stop it and after about a week, it did. Now it just comes on with the loud noise. |
